What is the difference between a scanned fingerprint and an optical fingerprint?

The fingerprint sensor of Yale Digital Lock uses a scanning method to read the fingerprint. The scanning sensor does not recognize the whole fingerprint, but recognizes a part of the fingerprint image. When the user's finger and the sensor strip move in a right angle direction, the fingerprint image is recognized several times, and the identified fingerprint image fragments are returned to the original fingerprint image according to the restoration algorithm. This method is more difficult to leave residual fingerprints than optical fingerprints, so it is safer.
